A state candidate with heart and soul

Isn't it amazing how political campaigns bring out the claws of normally friendly, hospitable people? Among other "official" opinions expressed, I recently read an unfortunate quote by Darlene Senger, Republican candidate for the 96th District House seat. Ms. Senger stated that the graphics on a mailing from the Democratic party supporting Dianne McGuire for the Democratic position in the House were "shocking" and "reveal McGuire's character." Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I have known and worked with Dianne for over 20 years, and in doing so, discovered a unique human being. Her unending concern for the well-being of friends, colleagues, students and scores of others lead Dianne to communicate, make better or solve issues with many valuable beliefs. If there was a way to get the job done, Dianne worked tirelessly to find it. New ideas were positively implemented - always through discussion with other interested parties - in order for Dianne to proceed with the prospective needed to make intelligent and diplomatic decisions. Isn't this the kind of state legislator you want?

Dianne has never failed to express her genuine love and admiration for the human race, including the good, the bad and the ugly. A passionate listener, communicator and motivator - never forgetting anyone who has helped make a difference in her life - these are the components of Dianne McGuire's character. Compassion is her passion, not just "a new political outfit to wear" as some would have us believe. A state legislator with a caring heart and soul. Just think of it.
