It's good to be wary of smooth talkers

When I hear the discussion about which candidate won the presidential debate, I remember what my dad told me many, many years ago.

He warned about smooth talkers by telling me that some are good and honest but others will get into your pockets and take your pennies, nickels and dimes.

Over the years, that translates to hundreds or thousands of dollars.

I don't know who won, but I can't help remembering the advice I had from my dad.
