Briefs: YWCA recognizes Eradication of Poverty day

In observance of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on Friday, Oct. 17, the YWCA Lake County is raising awareness about the existence of poverty in our community. The YWCA Lake County offers financial literacy programs on how to manage money effectively, computer technology classes to help others develop marketable skill sets and English with a Purpose, not only teaching English as a second language, but also making it work in the real world. Visit ywcalakecounty.org to take a quiz about poverty and receive a free YWCA water bottle. The site also has information about how to donate to the YWCA's annual fund campaign, which benefits women in Lake County.
