Good schools are important for all
Does anyone wonder why some people, who clearly live outside the Warren school district, always write in so heatedly to get voters to reject any referendums?
Their children aren't affected. Their children are getting good educations. And yet, they don't want the same for our children. Why? Because their businesses might have to pay a little more in taxes? Clearly, our children are unimportant in their limited view.
I spent some time as the treasurer for the Warren Athletic Boosters and was able to see the school's operating numbers. Believe me, if they didn't truly need the money they would not ask.
My children have all graduated, but I will support the schools for as long as I live because a good education is one of the most valuable things we can give the leaders of tomorrow.
