Carpentersville Dundee League hosts candidates forum

The League of Women Voters of the Carpentersville Dundee Area will host a Candidates' Forum from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Dundee Township Senior Center, adjacent to the Dundee Township Rec Center on Route 68 just west of Route 25.

Candidates for these contested positions have been invited to participate: 14th Congressional District, 43rd and 49th Representative District (state legislature), Kane County Board Chairman,  Kane County offices of:  Circuit Clerk, Recorder, Auditor, Coroner,  Kane County Board member for District 24, and 16th Judicial Sub circuit. There is no competition for the States Attorney's office.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Any person of voting age, male or female, may become a League member.
