With over 25 years of consulting, auditing, accounting and tax experience, Kathryn Rosanova joined Amcore Bank as a client relationship manager and assistant vice president in its Schaumburg branch. Rosanova will be responsible for managing the trust accounts of a diverse group of retirement plan services clients with a focus on Employee Retirement Security Act regulatory compliance issues.
Ira Winner of Downers Grove was named general manager at Classic Cinemas York Theatre in Elmhurst.
Ellen Huxtable, owner of Advantage Business Concepts, Batavia, was certified as an instructor in the NxLevel Entrepreneur Training program, a structured process which guides participants through the elements of a successful business and the development of a business plan. Huxtable will conduct classes through the Small Business Development Center at Elgin Community College.
Waubonsee Community College's English as a Second Language manager, Katharine Grimes of St. Charles, was appointed the region's senior director for the Illinois Adult Continuing Educators Association. For the past year, Grimes has served as the junior director of Region 2, which includes the local counties of Kane and McHenry.
With a wide range of sales and managerial experience, Sam Sorenson was named senior sales manager at the Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel. Previously, Sorenson served as sales manager and then director of sales for Hawthorn Suites-Lincolnshire.
Frank Pettinati joined the architecture, engineering, planning and design firm RTKL, to direct the Chicago office workplace interiors group. Before joining RTKL, Pettinati spent 10 years working for Perkins+Will as an associate principal and project director.
Dave Kogan joined Bird-X Inc., Chicago, a humane bird and animal pest control solutions company, as marketing manager. Kogan will coordinate and manage all the marketing functions for Bird-X and its subsidiaries including the management of advertising, public relations, trade show management and Web marketing.
