Mathias doesn't play politics on legislation

I don't live in state Rep. Sid Mathias' 53rd District but know him personally and know his reputation.

Sid truly represents bipartisanship. He takes positions which are good for his District as well as the state as a whole. He reads proposed legislation and it doesn't matter to him if it is a Republican- or Democrat-sponsored bill. If it is good for his constituents and the state he will vote for it. It if is not good for his constituents and the state he doesn't. It's as simple as that.

He is an authority on transportation and municipal financing and is the go-to guy on these issues. The 53rd District and the state can't get any better then that.

Do the residents of the 53rd district want Michael Madigan and the Chicago Machine dictating what to vote for or against? That's the question each voter must ask when they go to vote on Nov. 4. Vote for Sid Mathias. I wish I could.
