Many hearts are with the South Side
Wow, were we shocked to see the mayor of our town saying, "In my mind, I believe that 100 percent of Elk Grove is a Cubs town." Are we wrong, or is the leader of any community supposed to be supportive of everyone he represents?
Mr. Johnson, no matter how you meant it, it was insensitive. Very sorry to disagree with you, but no, not everyone in Elk Grove is a Cubs fan. There are many White Sox fans here also!
We would think by now, as a politician you should learn to think before you speak. You are entitled to your opinion, but speak for yourself and not the rest of us. We are proud of both the White Sox and Cubs getting this far.
