Garden Club

Chicago Botanic Garden
• Sukkot Family Activities to celebrate the Jewish New Year are on Sunday, Oct. 12.
• The Midwest Daffodil Society Bulb Sale is from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, as is the Wisconsin-Illinois Lily Society Lily Bulb Sale.
• The Midwest Fruit Explorers Show and Sale with tastings and information on growing fruit is 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19.
• A workshop on pressed flower designs is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 11. Cost is $49.
• "Stone by Design: The Artistry of Lew French" will be a half-day symposium at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18. French, who has been the subject of magazine stories and television shows, will answer questions and sign books. The cost is $74, and members pay $59.59. Call (847) 835-8261.

Morton Arboretum
• The Fall Color Festival runs through Sunday, Oct. 26. Activities include a session with a beekeeper from noon to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, and one on "gourd works" from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19.
