Injury accident stalls tollway traffic

A 25-year-old woman received minor injuries following a roll-over accident on the Jane Addams Tollway Friday morning, officials said.

The accident took place at about 5:30 a.m. between Arlington Heights Road and Lee Street, officials said.

Master Sgt. Jim Neylon of the Illinois State Police said the unnamed woman was driving her gold 2001 Acura in and out of the eastbound lanes when she lost control of the car.

He said the car slid onto the shoulder, slipped into the ditch, then rolled over.

The woman was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with minor injuries, he said.

The accident remains under investigation and citations are still pending.
