Copley to host tremor seminar

Essential tremor is a disabling and incurable condition. This progressive neurological condition, causes rhythmic trembling of the hands, head, legs, trunk or voice. Severe instances of the disorder can have disastrous impact on a person's entire life, including the ability to work, write, speak and eat. Experts estimate that up to 10 million Americans suffer from essential tremor - 10 times as many people as those affected by Parkinson's disease.

To help educate the community about essential tremor, Rush-Copley has partnered with the International Essential Tremor Foundation to host, "Learning About Essential Tremor: Diagnosis and Treatment Options."

This free program will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Rush-Copley Heart Institute, 2088 Ogden Ave. in Aurora. Dr. Muhammad Siddiq, a neurologist with the Suburban Sleep and Neuro Center and Dr. Sepehr Sani, a neurosurgeon with Rush-Copley Medical Center, will present the program.
