Why isn't money getting to troops?
I would like to comment on all the money that we are spending to feed our troops overseas, yet all they seem to be getting is chicken and rice meals.
There are government contracts in the billions to provide decent meals to our troops.
Yet whenever there is a collection of supplies for the troops, the things that they ask for most are: peanut butter, tuna, crackers and even little packets of mustard, mayo and ketchup.
Where is all this money going that is supposed to fed these troops?
I don't mind when people collect items for our troops, but I get very angry knowing money earmarked for the troops and their needs is siphoned off and lining the pockets of the old bureaucrats in Washington.
These are the same kind of people who sent troops in Viet nam, just to make money off the war. They didn't care how many troops were killed, as long as it was not their sons or daughters fighting.
I really don't care for all the big-shot bankers who have run their industry into the ground, but I do care about the men and women fighting to keep this country free, and so should everyone else, including our government.
Let's have an investigation into where all the money is being spent in Iraq and Afghanistan and make sure our troops are being fed good wholesome meals.
I will continue to help collect supplies as my way of support for what they are doing for their country.
God bless them.
