Police activity delays Metra train
The Metra Union Pacific West Line is moving again after being halted for about 15 minutes due to police activity in Chicago, Metra officials said.
Some trains on the line that runs from Chicago to Elburn, including stops in West Chicago, Wheaton and Geneva, are about 15 minutes behind schedule.
Officials said the police activity took place on the train tracks between Kedzie and Keeler avenues in Chicago. However, the incident does not directly involve Metra trains.
It was unclear what that police activity was, and officials from the Chicago Police Department did not release information.
Officials said trains should be back on schedule by the end of rush hour.
