Street Dance event a smashing success

Thank you Libertyville! Our 18th Annual Street Dance fundraiser was a whopping success on Sept. 13. Those hardy Libertyville people don't let a measly little 4 inches of rain stop them from supporting MainStreet while having a darn good time!

I would like to personally thank our Street Dance Committee co-chairs, Treacy Cutting and Jeff McClurg. Without their guidance and endless energy this event never would have happened. Our volunteer coordinators, Kathleen Salemi and Nancy Guarino, guided more than 100 volunteers that gave their time to make this a wonderful community celebration. Tim Hasbrouck spent hours in the rain making sure our 10,000-square-foot tent was ready to keep our celebrants dry and warm. And Tokyo Fish Market, Vardin's Groove and Betty Soul provided some genuine, stand up and jump entertainment all evening long!

It was a fantastic evening of celebrating Libertyville with a true community event. Thank you to our volunteers, our supporters, and the Village of Libertyville for making it happen. You have done it again, Libertyville!
