The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Co. hired Scott Jamieson, formerly president and chief executive officer of The Care of Trees Inc., as vice president, corporate partnerships and national recruiting. Jamieson, of Arlington Heights, will develop strategic relationships in the tree-care and green industries and with other organizations that focus on landscape management. He will be based in Bartlett Tree's Northbrook office.

Dr. Stephen C. Gieser, a glaucoma consultant and partner in the Wheaton Eye Clinic, joined the Morton Arboretum board of trustees. Goeser, a strong proponent of tree planting and conservation, has enjoyed the Arboretum in Lisle for decades, having first visited as a fifth-grader on a field trip.

Daniel P. Sarrett joined the Oak Brook office of Inland Real Estate Brokerage Inc., as a broker specializing in the sale of retail, office and industrial properties, as well as redevelopment of brownfield sites. Sarrett was previously employed with the industrial brokerage firm of Morken Associates in Batavia.

Desert Rose Design, Elmhurst, promoted Tim True to inside sales project manager. True has over 30 years of experience in marketing communications. Joining Desert Rose are Gus Castro as a graphic designer and Lauren Trela as an account executive, responsible for new business development and sales.

With an extensive background in hospitality, Stephen McCulley has joined the inaugural team of the Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel as general manager. McCulley will oversee day-to-day management of the new hotel , which opens in late October.

The Illinois Society for Respiratory Care recognized Deborah Linhart of Winfield, a respiratory care practitioner and asthma educator at Central DuPage Hospital, with its Legacy Award. The honor recognizes those who have dedicated a major portion of their lives to the development, improvement and advancement of the respiratory profession.

Loyola University Health System announced the addition of Dr. Amy Lin as director of cornea and refractive surgery in the ophthalmology department. Additionally, Dr. Kev Welch joined the otolaryngology-head and neck Surgery department, and Dr. James Winger joined Loyola as a primary care doctor specializing in sports medicine. Winger is the team physician for the Robert Morris College hockey team.

Crowe Horwath LLP announced the following appointments in its Oak Brook offices: Lisa Andreae and Chyristina Brown, senior staff, enterprise solutions; and Marzee Devichand and Jonathan McPharlin, senior staff, assurance and financial advisory.

Roy Garcia, director of campus safety at Aurora University, was named director of emergency preparedness, a new position with accountability for the university's Aurora campus and the George Williams College campus in Williams Bay, Wis. Garcia, a Chicago native who joined the university in 2003, has over 30 years of law enforcement experience.

Realtor Pat Callan of Glen Ellyn was installed as the 2009 president of the Illinois Association of Realtors. Callan, active in real estate for 37 years, is broker-owner of Realty Executives Premiere in Wheaton. He serves as managing broker involved in the sale and leasing of residential and commercial real estate.
