No media bias? Must be a joke
What an asinine joke in Sunday's (Sept. 7) paper! Not blaming the media? You've got to be kidding. Don't you listen to NBC, or better yet CNBC, etc.? Where were you when TV showed Sen. McCain introducing Gov. Palin and NBC covered the "info" slot with a "cheap shot" about the number of houses that the two Reps owned? Did you miss that? Isn't TV part of the media? Last week a Chicago newspaper had a full page of a color, professional portrait of Obama and his wife. On the back page of the same section was a "wallet-sized" picture of Sen. McCain with a crown of thorns floating over his head. Shall I go on? Why are most channels showing Sen. Biden ridiculing Gov. Palin's lack of experience in foreign policy? He says also that if that isn't true, then she's at the wrong end of the ticket. Now if that's true, then Sen. Biden is at the wrong side of his ticket for certain. Obama doesn't have a foreign policy agenda and yet he's at the Presidential end of the ticket. Where is the backlash? The N.Y. Times is in trouble, the L.A. times is in Trouble and I'll bet the Tribune is in trouble, too. On Nov. 4 I will vote my conscience. No "media" company or movie star is going to influence my vote. When I stop subscriptions to the Chicago and Herald newspapers, I hope that it will be counted also.
