Gov. Palin's folksy act is a bit contrived

I'm very tired of hearing Sarah Palin leave the final "ing" off her words and generally using a speech style that seems contrived to relate to "Joe Six-pack."

I want my president and vice president to sound sophisticated and to be smarter and more experienced than me.

I don't want a president whose nearly 30 years in Congress have left him angry and confused.

I don't want a vice president who doesn't respect me and thinks I want her to pretend to be "folksy" so I can relate to her.

I will be voting for Barack Obama and Joe Biden on Nov. 4.
