Hunt for stolen Naperville dog continues

Naperville police are continuing to investigate the Sept. 24 theft of a van containing a family dog.

The dog, a 13-year-old black Labrador retriever named Lilly, has arthritis and has trouble walking. Police on Tuesday said they fear Lilly may now be in need of significant medical attention.

The stolen van is described as a dark green 2001 Chevrolet Venture with Illinois registration 5203280. The vehicle last was seen going east in the 200 block of East Ogden Avenue being driven by a woman about 25 years old with a thin build, blonde hair and wearing a light-colored top, shorts, gym shoes and dark-rimmed spectacles that may have been sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered.
