On the swimming horizon
Barrington once again has established itself as top team in Mid-Suburban League. The Fillies won the Lake County Invite last Saturday and defeated Fremd in a dual meet on Sept. 25. Fremd keeps improving and is hoping to make some noise in November. Prospect won the Buffalo Grove Stampede showing its strength in numbers. Other teams to keep an eye on are Wheeling and Schaumburg.
Meets to watch: Oct. 4: Conant Invite (Hersey, Schaumburg); Oct. 11 Hersey Jamboree (Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, Maine West, Prospect, St. Viator), Naperville North Invite (Fremd), and Barrington Invite (Schaumburg); Oct. 18 New Trier Relays (Barrington); Oct. 31/Nov. 1 Mid-Suburban League Meet at Barrington.
