Initial bailout plan exposes party of rich
I see in a recent headline from this worthy newspaper that the federal government proposed a $700 billion dollar bailout of the financial sector.
What strikes me square in the face is the arrogance of the party in power at the White House. Whereas, with the proposed plan, the Democrats demanded that pay packages for executives of said companies be limited.
Have you seen or are you aware of what the CEOs and CFOs of AIG and the rest of the targeted companies have pocketed this year alone? These are out of sight earning with companies that are failing. Good Lord!
Going forward, the Bush administration balked to the thinking of the Democrats to limit and control top executive earnings. Folks, do you need any more proof that the Republicans are the party of the rich and are so far out of touch with the lower and middle classes that even by writing this letter, I feel sickened by their arrogance and self-serving ways.
