Hoodwinked by GOP propaganda
All we hear is Palin this and Palin that. In many respects this is the greatest smoke screen in the history of American politics. We're being asked to look at a shiny new nickel while someone else is stealing our wallet. It's time to get back to the issues. And the central issue of this campaign is the slumping U.S. economy with rising unemployment and climbing inflation. John McCain hasn't proposed a solution other than to continue the trickle-down economics of failure that have been the mainstay of the Bush Administration for the last eight years. So to counteract his utter lack of a meaningful economic policy, John McCain is trying to distract us with Sarah Palin. And just for good measure while we're distracted, he's continuing to lie about Senator Obama's economic plan by falsely claiming that he's going to raise taxes. In fact, Senator Obama is going to lower taxes on everyone making less than $250,000 per year. That's lower taxes for the middle class and a potent stimulus to the American economy similar to changes made by President Clinton that led to the creation of 22 million jobs in this country. Moreover, Senator Obama is going to earnestly push forward with plans to develop a new green economy that will guarantee that jobs stay in the United States and aren't shipped overseas. In contrast, Senator McCain's plan to follow in the Bush mold will continue to encourage American companies to outsource jobs further harming our economy. John McCain has no change to offer our economic hardship, and it's time we stopped being distracted by Sarah Palin and started realizing that we're being hoodwinked by the Republican propaganda machine.
