Tillman guilty in Ala. hospital fracas

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Former Chicago alderman Dorothy Tillman has been found guilty of criminal trespassing at a Montgomery hospital in a dispute over her aunt's medical records.

Municipal Judge Les Hayes found her guilty Thursday, gave her a suspended sentence of 10 days in jail and fined her $350.

Tillman was arrested March 2 at Jackson Hospital after a confrontation over medical records for her 89-year-old aunt, who had been admitted the day before.

Security officers said Tillman became belligerent and used racial slurs when administrators refused to give her the records. She has accused the police of brutality but no charges have been filed.

Some of the incident was caught on a surveillance video camera and shown in court.
