Parenting teens class set

John Hersey High School will offer a six-week course, "Active Parenting of Teens," on Tuesdays, from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 7, at the school, 1900 E. Thomas Road.

The course is designed to teach communication skills, strengthen family relationships and address issues that challenge all parents, such as sex, drugs, alcohol/substance use, and violence.

The course will cost $20 per person or family, which includes a Parent's Guide.
