Rand Park dog club to host agility trials

Rand Park Dog Training Club's Agility Trials will be Oct. 11 and 12 at Sports Zone, 1945 Cornell St. in Melrose Park. See what agility is all about. Food will be available and there will also be some raffles among the events of the day.

Dalmatian Specialty: Chicagoland Dalmatian Club will hold a specialty on Oct. 11 at For Your Canines, 4233 United Way in Schiller Park. Included will be conformation, junior showmanship, obedience, rally and sweepstakes.

South Side Trials: South Side All Breed Dog Training Club will have Obedience and Rally Trials on Oct 11. They will be at Pawsitively Heaven, 10051 Kitty Ave. in Chicago Ridge.

Vaccination Clinic: A low cost vaccination clinic will be held in conjunction with Tails of Hope and Animal Education and Rescue's Woofstock fundraiser on Oct. 12 at Old School Forest Preserve Shelter C, 646 S. St. Mary's Road, Libertyville. The fundraiser to benefit homeless animals will include a walk-a-thon, animal related activities, entertainment and more. Preregister for vaccinations by Oct. 9. Lure Coursing Fun Day: The Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue is sponsoring an All-Breed Lure Coursing Fun Day on Oct. 12. This fundraiser to help care for rescued Cavalier King Charles Spaniels will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at King's Kennels, 238 Saunders Road, Riverwoods. Tracking Deadlines: Glenbard All Breed Obedience Club has set Oct. 6 as deadline to enter the club's Tracking Tests and Tracking Tests Excellent to be held Oct. 26 at Hawk Hollow/Mallard Lake Forest Preserve in Hanover Park.
