Farnham will protect our kids
As a mother of a young girl, safety in our community is an issue that always concerns me. Whether you turn on the news or read the paper, you constantly hear about people everywhere who are a threat to the people we hold sacred, our family.
In recent years, the number of violent sex offenders continues to rise, and we need to do whatever we can to prevent these sexual predators from disturbing our lives.
In a conversation I had with Keith Farnham, who is running for state representative, he told me about some ideas that he has to help rid our community of these monsters. He told me that once he is elected to office, one of the first pieces of legislation he will support will require sex offenders to wear electronic monitoring devices at all times so our police can know when these criminals may be lurking.
In today's world with technology being so common in everyday environments, our children are faced with horrors we never could have imagined. That is why Farnham will also support requiring Internet filters on computers at libraries and other public places to protect children from online predators, pornography and inappropriate material.
On Election Day, I hope you will join me in supporting Keith Farnham for state representative. It is about time our community deserves a legislator that puts some substance behind those words and will fight to ensure our children's safety.
