Democrats bent on securing their power

Nancy Pelosi, says Newt Gingrich (former Speaker of the House), has perpetrated the "biggest hoax on the American people" by submitting to the Congress at 10 p.m. an unseen 294-page bill (H. R. 6899), demanding a vote within 24 hours, and it was passed, aided by 15 Republicans. It supposedly allows offshore drilling, but does just the opposite, cuts off domestic drilling and raises taxes, laden with pork.

The bill allows drilling only in areas where there is no oil and extends the moratorium for domestic drilling where there is. This is "Soviet-style hijacking." The American people have proven that they want to drill and drill now. We must get started. And our beleaguered people do not need more taxation.

Enough of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and an oppressive Democratic majority who take vacations despite our nation's need for getting work done. They do anything and everything to secure their place in power. They have handcuffed President Bush for almost two years. Yes, we need a change.
