McCain's choice of Palin is amazing

I was totally amazed and surprised by Sen. John McCain's pick for the vice president.

Who would have thought that he would pick the Governor of Alaska, our 49th State!! And who would have thought that he would pick a woman, Sarah Palin?!!

Gov. Palin's first appearance on TV with Sen. McCain was very impressive. She not only said that she would be for ethics reform, she actually is and did something about it in her state.

This is something that the state of Illinois could emulate!

Immediately following her first appearance came the cries of all the naysayers that she was "only" governor, but it seems to me that Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan were "only" governors!! Could the problem possibly be that she is an accomplished woman?

I think that Sen. John McCain made a tremendous choice in his selection of a running mate. She is young, determined, accomplished and honest and with her experience raising five children - which is not much different from dealing with Congress - you can bet our country will be in good hands.
