McCain will bring more of the same

I am bewildered and angered by the front page tag line in the Sept. 12 Daily Herald. In it, you quote President Bush's comments marking the seventh anniversary of Sept. 11 as "We did not tire, we did not falter, and we did not fail."

I am angered to find this to be another blatant lie from this president. Seven years later, the souls of the murdered victims and brave heroes of that day still cry out for justice because the key perpetrators of this crime remain loose and free. Why?

Because this President Bush attacked a convenient, oil rich country that had nothing to do with the Sept. 11 attacks. By doing so, he placed most of our best military resources in Iraq rather than in Afghanistan where this crime was plotted and where the criminals are believed to be hiding.

Bush has faltered and he has failed the Sept. 11 victims, America and the world.

Now his Republican Party wants us to elect John McCain, a man who voted 90 percent to support Bush's faded policies and initiatives - including this costly, immoral and illegal war in Iraq. Laughingly, McCain and Republicans are trying to wear the mantle of "change."

I am bewildered why any American would listen to this distorted message of "change" and vote for another four years of the same failed policies. The departed souls of Sept. 11 call out for justice; and for that reason as well as others, I will vote for change on Nov. 4 and support Barack Obama, who has consistency opposed this disastrous war from its very beginning.

I urge all logical and intelligent Americans to join me and do the same.
