Kudos on new South Barrington turf

An open letter to the South Barrington Park District commissioners and staff: On behalf of the board of directors, staff and our entire membership, the Barrington Area Soccer Association wishes to express our collective, communitywide gratitude for the development of the new turf fields at South Barrington Community Park. This state of the art facility will be a great asset to all who may be fortunate enough to use it.

We look forward to South Barrington residents, as well as the greater Barrington area, benefiting from the new park and multipurpose athletic fields. Partnering with the commissioners and staff has allowed us to develop a mutually beneficial agreement for the foreseeable future.

Special thanks to former executive director Kathy Pierburg and new Executive Director Jay Morgan for their time, effort and vision from the beginning of the project. We look forward to a positive and cooperative relationship with Lili McGovern and the rest of the South Barrington Park District staff.
