Accident with injuries on I-80

Illinois state police and rescue crews were on the scene of a serious accident with injuries on I-80 near Joliet Monday morning.

Officials said one car had rolled over on the highway past near Briggs Avenue at about 7:20 a.m.

Officials did not release the amount of cars involved, the number of people injured, or the extent of the injuries at this time.

Traffic on the interstate was reduced to a crawl while the situation was cleaned up.
