Maybe it's not the media's fault

As I watched the Republican Convention it was interesting to note the theme. Bash everyone and take no responsibility for the harm the Bush Administration has done to our country. And, yes, make the media the bad guys. Ooh, I'm so afraid of that liberal media.

Beware, they are taking control of our country. I'm sorry, since when is the spoken and written word something to fear? Oh, that's right: Spreading misinformation into fear is the Republican mantra. Also, converting that fear into votes. And, of course, there is the twisting of words into votes that is right out of the Karl Rove playbook.

Then we have our other Fence Posters who perpetuate that fear. Yes, Mr. Kocan, Mr. Toye and others want you and I to believe that the evil media is to blame.

I would like to congratulate the Daily Herald for its Sept. 7 editorial. The editorial staff did a fine job debunking what was said at the RNC.

Yes, the media is to blame for all that has gone wrong since GW and his cronies have run our country. Why certainly, it never could have been those in charge? How could anyone blame them?

Oh, that's right: "Stupid is as stupid does."

Now, tell me: Where is that cliff?
