Police suspect homicide in missing-person case

Palatine police are investigating the suspected homicide of a person reported missing more than two years ago, authories said Saturday.

Police have received information about the possible location of the missing person's body, according to a press release.

Although it was not clear whether police had confirmed the death of the missing person, the release said police were contacting the missing person's next of kin.

The missing person was not from Palatine.

No further information was released.

The Cook County medical examiner's office said Saturday it had not yet received information on the case.

More details may be made public on Monday, police said in the statement.
