Bush must explain aid to Georgia

I read our current and soon to be ex-president, George W. Bush, and his circle have chosen to give the country of Georgia, not the state mind you, $1 billion in aid for assistance in its rebuilding after Russia invaded the country.

First, Russia invading Georgia was like the United States Armed Forces invading the great state of Wisconsin.

My point is our fine leaders, in providing these funds, have failed to tell the American people, where is this $1 billion in aid is coming from and is this a gift or a loan and what are the terms of this major funding?

Imagine the infrastructure repairs, school assistance, mass transit projects and other much needed work in this country that could be accomplished with $1 billion.

Yes, the Georgian people need assistance but until my fellow Americans put our leaders on the spot and question their spending and overall authority, this type of governing without accountability, the hallmark of the Bush administration, will continue.
