"Sex and the City: The Movie"
This box-office movie hit picks up where the TV series left off. After many years, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) is finally getting married to Big (Chris Noth), and the girls will be reunited for the wedding. There is the dress and the arrangements, but all that is ruined when Big gets cold feet. Carrie is devastated and goes to Mexico with the girls to get her life back in order. Samantha (Kim Cattrall) is living in Los Angeles, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is a loving wife and mother, while Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is having trust issues with her husband. Back in New York, Carrie hires a new assistant, Louise (Jennifer Hudson) to help organize her. No matter what happens, the women are friends forever.
"Leatherheads"
George Clooney directs and stars as aging football player Dodge Connelly. It is 1925, and the public has not accepted professional football. The college game draws fans, and Connelly goes to sports promoter C.C. Frazier (Jonathan Pryce) with a proposal. He wants to get star university player Carter Rutherford (John Krasinski), a decorated war hero, to play for his Duluth Bulldogs and pay him big money. This will put football on the front page and pack the stadium. Lexie Littleton (Renee Zellweger) is a newswoman who is looking into Rutherford's war exploits. She clashes with Connelly, but - just like the screwball comedies of the 1930s and '40s - they are bound to fall in love.
"Run, Fatboy Run"
On his wedding day, Dennis (Simon Pegg) left his pregnant fiance Libby (Thandie Newton). Five years later, Dennis - an overweight mall security guard - speaks to Libby, so he can see his son. Realizing he made a mistake, Dennis would like to get back with Libby. She has a new boyfriend Whit (Hank Azaria), who is better than Dennis in everything. To prove his worth to Libby, and try to win her back, Dennis decides to run a marathon. His friends help him train, and it's funny watching him go through it.
