Charter bus catches fire on Tri-State

A charter bus that caught fire on the Tri-State Tollway is causing delays for commuters this morning.

The bus caught fire near 95th Street near Bridgeview and pulled off to the side.

Illinois State Police and nearby fire departments are on the scene extinguishing the fire, but police officials said there are no injuries.

Two lanes of northbound I-294 were shut down to tend to the emergency.

Those lanes were reopened about 8:30 a.m.
