Accident on Tri-State near Des Plaines

Police and fire officials are on the scene of an accident with injuries on the Tri-State Tollway.

The accident, which took place before Touhy Avenue near Des Plaines, is supposed to involve multiple cars in the two right, southbound lanes.

It's unclear at this time how many people were injured and how many cars were involved in the accident, but police officials said none of the injuries appear life-threatening.
