Lindenhurst girl sexually assaulted in home, police say
A Lindenhurst girl was sexually assaulted in her home Sunday by a man posing as a massage therapist, authorities said.
The attack occurred about noon in a bedroom in the girl's home. Her name had been entered in a contest at a local salon for a free in-home massage, police said.
The girl is a teenager, but police declined to release her age.
The girl yelled for help when she was assaulted, police said, and her grandmother came to the room. The assailant then gathered his massage equipment and drove away, police said.
Police described the attacker as being in his 30s and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He had black hair and bulging eyes, police said, and his first name may be "Bin" or "Ben."
He was seen driving a newer, silver Toyota Camry, police said.
Police are concerned the assailant may have placed notices for free massages at other salons in the area. Anyone with information about the attack should call Lindenhurst police at (847) 356-5400.
