Obama uses troops for political gain

Amir Taheri wrote an article for The New York Post on Sept. 15. The headline is "Obama Tried to Stall GI's Iraq Withdrawal."

Of course, we have not heard any of this from the mainstream media.

ln July, Obama went to Baghdad and met with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari and at least three other people. This was his first visit to Iraq after making all kinds of statements that he would start withdrawing the troops immediately when he is president.

In a closed-door session, Obama tried to persuade them not to negotiate a troop drawdown agreement with the U.S. government until after President Bush left the White House.

Obama tried to undercut negotiations between a sitting U.S. president and a foreign country.

Wendy Morigi, Obama's national security spokeswoman, confirmed this and said Obama had told the Iraqis they should not rush through a "Strategic Framework Agreement" governing the future of U.S. forces until after Bush leaves office.

On one hand, Obama is telling the Iraqis not to do anything about their political situation, and on the other hand he is telling the American people that nothing is happening in Iraq and the war is lost. How two faced is this?

Obama did not show respect for the Iraqis or for President Bush. He is only campaigning for president. He has not been elected yet.

Obama is using our troops for his political advantage.

To me, Obama is way too arrogant, disrespectful, and clueless about foreign policy, to be president of this great country.
