Briefs: Help for homeowners clinic

Kane County and the city of Elgin will hold a free homeowner clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, in the Heritage Ballroom at the Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way. The open-house style event will assist people with everything from first-time homebuyer assistance to home repair programs to foreclosure prevention counseling. Services will be provided in both English and Spanish.
