Four cited for fighting in mall fracas

West Dundee police have cited four men with misdemeanor public fighting as a result of Tuesday's fracas at Spring Hill Mall in which two teens were stabbed in the abdomen.

Charged under the local ordinance were Lucino Aguiler, 17, Pablo Venancio, 17, Arturo Farias, 17 and Rodrigo Serrato, 18, all of Carpentersville.

Aguiler was served his notice to appear in court Wednesday morning while in a hospital and Rodrigo Serrato was detained by mall security during the fight, according to West Dundee police.

Police were called to the mall at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday and found four boys lying in the parking lot outside of Old Country Buffet.

Two had been stabbed in their midsections and two were either kicked or punched during the fight.

None of the injuries were life threatening, police said.

An argument had started in the mall when two groups encountered each other and continued as a physical fight outside on the east end of the mall.

The four teens are scheduled to appear in Carpentersville Branch Court on Oct. 15.

It is unknown if any more charges will be filed.
