How can anyone defend Bush?

I can't believe the mentality of some of the writers to this newspaper.

I'm speaking about the few who find no fault with the Bush administration for the past 7.5 years.

Everyone else is feeling the tough times since Bush took the office over.

Clinton didn't make enemies around the world and he got this country out of debt and left the office with a surplus.

Bush took office and started a war that was unnecessary and has killed so many of our young servicemen. He has squandered the surplus he inherited and has run up a debt for our country that the history of our country has never seen before and he has made enemies out of most of our allies.

We have more and more people out of work, more businesses closing and more and more people losing their homes.

A younger person asked me recently if I ever remember things being so bad since I grew up during the last stages of the Great Depression and during WWII.

I answered "no" because this is getting worse than those years and the people have never been so discouraged. The prices of food, gasoline and the utilities keep going up and people's wages are not increasing. Many are taking cuts in pay or forced days off work without pay.

Since when are these depressing things considered progress and good economy?

Where are these few people who think things are so great and the economy is doing so great? I think they are on some other planet.
