Dunham Road north of Stearns Road in St. Charles Township will be reduced to one lane Wednesday while crews install a concrete barrier along the west side of Dunham. Talk Batavia zoning

The City of Batavia Plan Commission will conduct a community input session regarding the city's update to its zoning regulations, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the city council chambers of the Batavia Government Center, 100 N. Island Ave. The zoning regulations, a set of conditions, limitations, and allowances establishing how one can and cannot use or build on property. This includes the basic use (residential, commercial, industrial) and building bulk (structure height, size, setbacks). WBA wine event

The Women's Bar Association for the 16th Judicial Circuit in Kane County will host a wine tasting from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gibby's Wine Den, 1772 S. Randall Road, Geneva. Admission is $20 for members and $30 for visitors. Other upcoming events planned by the association include legal seminars Sept. 29 and Oct. 28. Mighty Viking rescheduled

The silent auction portion of the Mighty Viking Boat race fundraiser, which was canceled Sept. 13 due to heavy rain, will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at Old Towne Pub on State Street in Geneva. Batavia's RSVP celebrates

Batavia Retired Senior Volunteer Projec Inc. is celebrating its 20th year of service to Batavia senior citizens. A "Thank You" tea for charter members, Golden Diners drivers, volunteers and donors is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Batavia Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

Learn about architect

At 2 p.m. Saturday the Geneva History Center will welcome architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright, as portrayed by actor and scholar Lyman Shepard, will regale the audience with tales from his storied career. He will also share images of the many buildings he designed, from early homes to international masterpieces. Genevans may recall that Wright was involved in several local projects and also worked extensively with Geneva builders Oscar and August Wilson. Cost is $4 for members; $6 for nonmembers.
