Lions taking orders for Sweetest Day rose delivery

The Lions Club of Sun City-Huntley is kicking off its eighth annual Rose Day sale for Sweetest Day on Oct. 18.

The proceeds will be used for local projects such as "The File of Life" program, eye glasses for the needy, McHenry County Police Charities "Shop with a Cop" program at Christmas time, Camp Lions for blind and deaf children, the local "Dare Program," Grafton Township Food Pantry and Horizon for the Blind.

The roses will be delivered on Friday, Oct 17 and Saturday, Oct. 18. The cost is $12 per dozen delivered to your door in the Huntley area only. Order your roses by calling Lion Joe Render at (847) 659-1984 or Lion Jim Graves at (847) 515-3036 or mailing your check to Lions of Sun City-Huntley, P.O. Box 901, Huntley, IL 60142.

Order early to assure delivery. Indicate the date and time you would like delivery. Friday delivery is best to keep the flowers fresh.
