Time for Congress to pass energy bill

For months now, mainstream media outlets have been feeding the American people conflicting reports about the value of new drilling for oil in the outer-continental ocean shelf, ANWR, oil shale drilling and the use of coal, wind mills, biofuels, solar panels and nuclear reactors. T. Boone Pickens has a plan, Newt Gingrich/American Solutions has their ideas, Nancy Pelosi uses her power in Congress to stop or bring a vote to an energy bill. Dick Durbin has a partisan agenda. John McCain has a proposal and so does Barack Obama, although we're not real sure what they are. Oil companies produce TV ads saying they're spending great amounts of money to explore new options. Blah, blah, blah.

It's time all parties involved got together and stopped playing politics with the American people, our economy and our national security. I propose that all invested and political parties get together on one stage/forum and give the American public an honest report on how to move forward with an energy program that will make sense for everyone. I'd like to hear all sides address the current issues face to face. I'm tired of Congress putting politics and special interests ahead of their constituents. My plea to all voters is if Congress does nothing between now and the November elections, we defeat every incumbent congressperson that refuses to put Americans first. It's time for the people to exercise their power. It's time for Congress to do its job. It's time Congress passes an energy bill for all Americans.
