Democrats pose serious threat to GOP

As the fall campaigns begin to kick off, people all around the country are looking to the Chicago suburbs as an indicator of how the House races are shaping up - and for good reason.

Serious Democrats are now challenging districts that the GOP has considered safe for decades, and if Bill Foster's defeat over the well-funded Jim Oberweis earlier this year is any indicator of how November 2008 is going to look, then you won't see much red.

One of the challenges that is particularly interesting is Scott Harper's bid for the U.S. House District 13 seat.

Biggert has never faced a serious challenger or a competitive climate. With Scott Harper running and Obama on the top of the ticket she is now facing both. Biggert is out of touch with the average voter and a rubber-stamp for the Bush administration. She must answer for both mistakes this fall.

Scott Harper offers serious change for the district and for our country. He will represent us well.

Ms. Biggert voted as her insurance and wealthy lobbyists donors dictated.

It's time that this district elect the representation that it needs, not someone who will only listen to the failing George Bush policies.
