Two injured in head on crash in Downers Grove

Two people were injured Wednesday night in a head-on collision in Downers Grove.

Firefighters said the two vehicles collided about 8:15 p.m. near the 6500 block of South Main Street.

The female driver of one of the vehicles needed to be extricated.

She and a male passenger were taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with nonlife- threatening injures.

The driver of the second vehicle refused treatment.

Details concerning the crash were not available late Wednesday from Downers Grove police.
