'Do not call' until you give out number

Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has smoothly avoided the FCC's Do Not Call List on unwanted telephone solicitations.

Obama encouraged millions of people to register their unlisted cell phone to receive a text message about the vice president candidate. The Democratic Party now has millions of cell phone numbers that would never have been available to the party to legally solicit votes or money; not only for Obama but for all of the other Democratic candidates in the November election.
