Man accused of seeking sex from minor

A man was free on bond Wednesday after being accused of using the Internet to solicit sex from an undercover Elmhurst police officer posing as a young girl.

Wesley L. Woolsey, 27, Joliet, is facing indecent solicitation of a child and attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges. He was arrested Aug. 13 after police said he arrived at a prearranged location in Elmhurst to meet a 15-year-old girl.

Police said an officer had sexually explicit conversations with Woolsey in an Internet chat room. The two agreed to meet for a sexual rendezvous, prosecutors said. Police were waiting for him when he arrived.

Woolsey was released from the DuPage County jail Aug. 21 after posting the required 10 percent of a $200,000 bond. He pleaded innocent Monday when arraigned before DuPage Circuit Judge John Kinsella.

Woolsey is back in court Sept. 22.
