Palin better than the other three

In an AP story by Steve Quinn and Calvin Woodward printed in the Daily Herald on August 30th, they made the following comment about Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin: "She has more experience catching fish than dealing with foreign policy or national affairs." Maybe these supposedly objective reporters didn't think about the fact that Barack Obama doesn't have any experience with EITHER CATCHING FISH OR FOREIGN POLICY, AND HE'S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, not the VP spot!

At least Sarah Palin has the experience of running something (a city and the state of Alaska), while NONE of the other three candidates have ANY experience running a governmental entity. As a governor, you actually have to DO something, not just talk about it. She also has an approval rating of 80 percent, not bad for a male-dominated state. I wonder what the approval ratings would be for the others if they ever did run something. Given the voting records of Obama and McCain, I suspect anybody with half a brain wouldn't rate them very favorably. Comparing Sarah Palin to Joe Biden as VP candidates, Joe Biden does bring some foreign policy experience, but he's the very "Washington Insider" Obama was railing against all during his campaign. Can you say "flip-flop?" Biden's been in the Senate for over 35 years, this doesn't look like "change" to me.
