Abboud's record beats Manzullo's
You would think that if you served 16 years in Congress, the one edge you should have is experience on your opponent.
For the first time in our memory, that is simply not the case in the race for the 16th Congressional District seat.
Bob Abboud has more experience and a record of real results for the communities he represents than Don Manzullo's 16 years in Congress.
Abboud is a nuclear engineer, a small-business owner and also has more than 30 years experience in the research and development of new energy solutions and the power trading business.
He has served with Argonne National Laboratory, the U.S. Department of Energy, the California Energy Commission and then Vice President Al Gore's Advanced Vehicle Commission.
For the past 10 years, Bob has served faithfully in local government. He sits on more than 15 local and regional planning councils that deal with infrastructure, energy, land management and economic development.
Bob has worked with local officials, state and federal legislators to reduce health care costs in McHenry County, improve law enforcement capabilities and rebuild crumbling infrastructure when the state refused to help. Bob is the kind of guy that get's it done.
Over the 20 years we have known Bob, he has shown the strength of his ideas and that he has a keen understanding of issues like our failing economy, job loss and energy.
We continue to be impressed with his character, and willingness to give it to us straight.
We are voting for Bob Abboud for Congress this November because he has the experience and vision to put our communities and our country back on track.
